Risbyn

Commissioned by IKEA to design a paper light, my design process focused on overlapping paper and light experiments to create unexpected patterns, including a journey to China to visit the lamp factory, exploring crafts- and production techniques. As a designer I relish the challenge of making a lot from a little – which is just what Risbyn offers: A lot of value and design at a low cost, using very little material. This is a lamp that is loved by many people; I see it everywhere around the world – warming my heart every time.
