Lisa Hilland is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed and awarded contemporary designers, creating designs with a poetic twist, combining modern high-tech production techniques with artisan quality craftsmanship.

After graduating from Central St Martin’s College of Art, she worked ten years as a designer in London before launching her own studio in Sweden in 2005. Current clients include renowned brands such as Orrefors, Stackelbergs, IKEA, Gemla, Design House Stockholm and Svenskt Tenn. Lisa Hilland also founded her very own design range in collaboration with NK Inredning at Stockholm department store Nordiska Kompaniet in 2018.

Lisa Hilland has solid experience spanning more than two decades as a professional designer. Her designs are also regularly sold through auction houses, manifesting her signum; the creation of long lasting, high-quality design to be passed down for generations.

“As a designer, I am constantly exploring materials and how they influence our perception of an object. Natural materials are close to my heart, using them in a careful, sustainable way to create long-lasting designs. In my work I aim to enhance the natural qualities of each material, celebrating its specific character, functions and beauty.
