Pompom Pouf

When designing Pompom Pouf for renowned brand Svenskt Tenn, I wanted to create a long-lasting design that could be passed on for generations. Becoming a parent made me change my perspective on my role as a designer: I took inspiration from family treasures, my inherited textiles and furniture, some of them over hundred years old. Leather is a material that fascinates me; when treated with care it ages with patina, becoming even more beautiful over the years. I wanted to create an inviting sculptural design, using a playful, tactile, overlapping leather pattern.

Pompom Pouf was launched at Svenskt Tenn in 2011 and is handmade in Sweden.
