Mylhta Stool
Mylhta Stool is made out of Swedish wood, showing the wood in turned shapes, bringing out its most beautiful properties, the annual rings and the natural subtle changes in the material. Mylhta is locally produced, the wood taken from the large forests surrounding the small factory based in Småland, Sweden.
Mylhta Stool was awarded 'Furniture of the Year 2019' by Form Magazine, Swedish Arts and Crafts Association.
Jury motivation:
“Lisa Hilland is known for her extreme sense for materials, her unique graceful aesthetics and her unwavering mind for details. With the Mylhta Stool, she shows her ability to extract magic from the simplest materials. The pine tree, with its charred feet, is a tribute to Jämtland's nature and as tasty as the cloudberries that gave it its name. "
