Accordion

In this project I set out to design a contemporary drop-leaf table. I wanted the folding mechanism to be the main feature of the table and therefore both functional and aesthetically attractive. In the design process I focused on creating a simple functional mechanism with an unexpected sculptural beauty present in all stages of expanding and contracting – like an accordion. A wooden instrument, made for good company, dining and work. With Accordion drop-leaf table, there is always room for one more person, or more work surface. Accordion is designed with greatest attention to every detail, handmade in Sweden.
